About the Founder

Trina Smith was raised by her grandmother, Willie D. Fanniel-Mathis.  From the time she was 2 months old, Ms. Fanniel-Mathis was the formative voice in Trina’s life.  Trina’s grandmother instilled in her an awareness of the importance of The Word of God, prayer and faith.

Trina grew up attending Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, Fort Worth, Texas.  In 1986, when she was 9 years old, she became a born-again believer.  Later, she was filled with The Holy Spirit.  Those who know her describe her as a Worshiper, a Woman of Faith, a Woman of Prayer and a Woman of The Word.  She is an exceptional Teacher with a genuine love for people.  With her servant’s heart she is a stranger to none.

Her favorite scripture is Romans 8:28; “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.”  Trina believes that everything she has gone through in her life is for her good and will serve a greater purpose. It does not matter how bad your circumstances look through your eyes or the eyes of others; God can work it out for your good.  Whatever situation you find yourself in, whether now or in your past, remember God can turn it around that His purpose for your life may be fulfilled.

At Holy Tabernacle Church, she has served as a member of Youth Praise & Worship Team, a teacher in the Children’s Church, the Assistant Nursery Director and the Youth Department Activity Head.  Trina Smith has also served as the Director of Kidz ON TOP Children’s Ministry at Tabernacle of Praise Church in Benbrook, Texas; under the leadership of Bishop Gary Oliver.

Trina Smith and her husband, founded VOH Ministries, in December 2011 and is currently serving as the Vice President and Director of the Women of Greatness Ministry, and Director of Fearless Girls Rock.

In 2010, Trina and Elder Willie Smith Jr. were married.  They share 11 children in their union.  Willie and Trina Smith currently reside in Fort Worth, Texas.
